This past weekend Pomona, California hosted Fuel Fest which brings car enthusiasts together. Some stars of the Fast and Furious franchise stopped by, including Tyrese Gibson, Cody Walker and Vin Diesel.

In a quote gathered from Variety, Diesel explained his discussion about the 11th installment of the franchise. He was asked if the finale of Fast and Furious could premiere in April of 2027 by the studio. Diesel had some conditions, “First, is to bring the franchise back to L.A.! The second thing was to return to the car culture, to the street racing! The third thing was reuniting Dom [Diesel’s character] and Brian O’Conner [Paul Walker’s character].”

Brian O’Conner’s last appearance in the franchise was Furious 7 as the actor Paul Walker tragically died in 2013. Screencrush explained that CGI and stand-ins were used for the character’s send off, as the project was still in production when the accident happened. There is no word on how Walker will appear in the film.

It has been two years since the last movie released in the franchise. The 10th installment, Fast X grossed over $700 million globally. Fast X was seen as part one to a two part feature. However, it is not clear if Fast and Furious 11 will be a direct part two.
