Based on the same requirements of financial means and/or merit, all international students in Italy are eligible to the same financial support programs as Italian students. International students are eligible to apply for national and regional government scholarships. Additionally, a few Italian universities provide overseas students with Italian scholarship programs.
Government Scholarships for International Students in Italy Foreign nationals and Italian nationals residing abroad (IRE) are both eligible to apply for study abroad scholarships offered by the Italian government. You can apply for a scholarship to study for a Master’s degree, a PhD program, research under academic supervision, Italian language and culture courses, or courses in higher education in the arts, music, or dance (AFAM). Tuition, health insurance, and a stipend are all part of the scholarship package. You can only apply for scholarships that are three, six, or nine months long.
Supported by the Italian Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Economic Development, the “Invest your Talent in Italy” program gives students from Azerbaijan, Colombia, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Mexico, Turkey, Tunisia, and Vietnam the chance to specialize in a variety of Master’s and postgraduate degree programs offered in English at esteemed Italian universities in the fields of engineering, advanced technologies, architecture, design, economics, and management. Scholarships from primary business sponsors and partners will be extended to the top students.
Excellence Scholarships at the University of Milan
The top international students accepted into Master’s programs will be eligible for 155 incentives for the 2024–2025 academic year, including 55 scholarships worth € 8,000 each that come with the option to have the all-inclusive tuition fee waived and 100 total exemptions from the all-inclusive tuition fee.
Piemonte Scholarships from EDISU
Additionally, the University of Padua offers the, which offers complete scholarships to exceptionally gifted applicants who want to study for an English-taught first- or second-cycle degree at Padova. The scholarship covers tuition fees as well as a €8,000 subsistence grant.
International Students at University of Pavia Are Exempt from Paying Tuition The University of Pavia is giving out 120 tuition fee waivers to foreign students enrolled in specific degree programs for the 2024–2025 academic year. This is done in an effort to increase the number of international students enrolled and promote the development of a more global community. The waiver of fees is only valid for the first year and cannot be renewed or extended. International and Bocconi Merit Awards
International students enrolled in any qualified bachelor’s or master’s program at Bocconi, the university offers merit-based scholarships. For a bachelor’s program, the scholarship offers a half-to-full tuition remission of up to €13,000, and for a master’s program in science, up to €14,000 annually.
Merit-Based Scholarships at Politecnico di Milano for International Students
A number of merit-based scholarships are awarded annually by Politecnico di Milano to the most deserving foreign applicants accepted into its Master of Science program. Every Merit Based International Scholarship comes with a tuition fee waiver for the duration of the academic year in which it is awarded. In addition to the tuition price remission, scholarships ranging from €5,000 to €10,000 annually may also be given out.
Scholarships at Politecnico di Torino International
International students can apply for scholarships from the Politecnico di Torino to pursue degrees in subjects including engineering and architecture.
Scholarships at Università Cattolica International
Università Cattolica offers an annual tuition price concession called the UCSC International Scholarship to encourage international students to enroll in degree programs. About 25% of the total cost is covered by the discount.
