As a dog, Isumu had never been in a relationship with another person. On the side of the road, he had been left to fend for himself after being abandoned close to a shelter of some kind.
Due to the fact that he had been held by shackles in the past, he had a wide stripe and blood around his neck. Additionally, the length of his nails led him to experience excruciating pain with each step that he made. In addition to having a distinctive odor of decaying flesh, his body was covered in sores that were caused by rabies.
In spite of all that he had been through, Isumu’s eyes still had a glimmer of life, and he still had the capacity to feel fear, humility, and hope. In his prayer to God, he asked that someone would come to his aid and save him from the agony he was experiencing.
A volunteer was the one who discovered him inside the shelter. He brought Isumu to the shelter, where he was provided with medical attention and is provided with a bed that is suitable for him to sleep on. The wounds on Isumu are rinsed away and cleaned away. He was also provided with food and drink, and for the first time in a very long time, he experienced feelings of being loved and cared for.
On the tenth day, Isumu started to show signs of improvement. It was then that his wounds began to heal, and his fur started to resume its growth. No longer did he smell like decaying flesh, and his eyes began to sparkle with happiness and satisfaction. He had changed his appearance.
On the eightieth day, a charming family finally came to the shelter with the intention of adopting a German Shepherd. Immediately as they laid eyes on Isumu, they fell head over heels in love with him.
They were able to sense the strength and determination that lay underneath his rugged exterior, and they determined that he was the dog that would best suit their needs. Isumu was brought home by his new family, where he was lavished with love and attention from the moment he arrived.
There was no longer a need for him to suffer in silence or wait for someone to come to his rescue. He had at long last found a place to call home and a family who loved him without condition.
