The actor confirmed the tentative release date and hinted at the seeming comeback of Paul’s character. He said, “The studio said to me, ‘Vin, can we please have the finale of ‘Fast and Furious’ [in] April 2027?’” It is not confirmed whether April 2027 is the tentative date, but fans are of the opinion that it might just be.
“I said, ‘Under three conditions.’ First, to bring the franchise back to LA. The second, to return to car culture and street racing. And third, to reunite Dom and Brian O’Conner,” he further added. His statement about a potential reunion of his character, with that of Brian’s, has ignited conversations on social media. While some are hopeful about the character’s return, others are wondering about actors who are in the race to be cast as O’Conner.
For those unaware, Paul Walker passed away in a car crash in 2013. He was 40 at the time of his death. The last movie of the Fast and Furious franchise was Fast and Furious X.
